You can order supplies from Everything Birth, at www.everythingbirth.com or call them at 1-800-370-1683. There you can order my birth kit, which is item DSBK or simply search for my name Dania Shelton. The birth kit includes:
2 dozen “chux”/ under pads
2 pairs of undies for use in the immediate post partum 1 tube of lubricant jelly
1 bottle of betadine
1 Handscrubber
1 Peri Bottle
10 sterile gauze
10 sterile single gloves0
1 pair sterile gloves
1 sterile bulb syringe
1 foot printer

Other supplies you need to gather for the birth are:
Various sizes of pad for bleeding needs maxi and mini pads. You bleed like a heavy period for the first week and then it diminishes. However, there will be some bleeding for up to 6 weeks.
2 flex straws
1 package unopened paper towels
alcohol and q-tips
thermometer
2 clean fitted sheets
1 plastic sheet to protect bed- either fitted sheet (expensive) or new drop cloth cut 2 inches bigger than the surface of the bed.
4 wash cloths (normal size, not baby)
5 flannel or cotton receiving blankets
flash light with new batteries
1 quart sweet juice ( apple, mango, grape, etc.)
1 quart recharge, powerburst, or gator aid
For the Baby:
1 little t-shirt, not onesie, we want air to get to the belly
a diaper
a pair of socks
2 baby hats
1 thermal blanket, or blanket that will swaddle the baby well
Gather all of the above in one place a few weeks before your due date.

Tub Instructions
Preparing the labor/birth tub:
Tub Instructions:
Prepare two-three weeks before your due date. Care must be taken to prepare the tub ahead of time so that you have everything you need and the tub is clean and functional. You will not be able to do this during the labor. The pregnant woman should not be the person to clean and set up the tub, the fumes are too strong for the pregnant mom. If you have the aqua doula tub please go to www.aquadoula.com to see the instructions on how to put it together.If you donʼt have access to the internet at home I can print the directions up for you. If you have the Rubbermaid tub there is no assembly required.
Cleaning/preparing The tub (either one) before the birth:
You need to clean and disinfect the tub and its parts. Wipe down all surfaces with chlorine wipes or a rag with a solution of bleach and water ( 1/4 cup bleach to a gallon of water). Wipe the entire inside and outside (except the outer base) with this solution. You can use any cleaning agent you might use to clean your home bath tub.
If you have the AquaDoula tub:After the tub is completely set-up in the place it is going to be with the blue liner on but before the personal clear liner is put in place: clean with the bleach solution (as in above paragraph) or whatever cleaner you are using. Also clean the thermometer, black tub cover and anything that may come in contact with the water. Place personal clear plastic liner in tub. Cover tub with clean sheet or plastic. Please keep cats/ animals away from tub as they can scratch tub and liner.
Adaptors: There are some adaptors provided, but you may need to get the right adaptor for your house.
How to fill:
You must fill and empty the tub at least once before the birth!
Turn your hot water heater up to itʼs highest setting when you go into labor. You are going to use a hose to fill the tub. You will attach the hose to the hot water faucet of your washing machine or you can get a hose adaptor for a sink or shower head. Run the hot water into the tub until it runs cold, and turn off the water. Wait for the hot water to recall. Try to get a sense of how long it takes to recall. Fill another full load of hot after the water heater has recalled, then fill with cold until the tub is to the desired level. The tub temperature should be whatever is comfortable for the pregnant mom which usually is around 99-100 degrees. If the birth is to occur in the water we will adjust the water temperature to be about body temperature near the time of delivery. Before delivery the tub can be whatever the mom wants and feels comfortable with.Please remember to turn the hot water heater down after the birth, as it will be too hot and could cause serious burns.
You will want to protect the floor with a sheet of plastic under the tub. There is a lot of getting in and out and this makes the area around the tub wet.
You will want to have 3 containers of salt to use as an antibacterial agent in the tub should your water break during labor or before. It can be any salt.
After the birth:
Drain tub with your own hose and throw away personal liner(aquadoula).Then the entire tub needs to be cleaned with hot soapy water and the chlorine bleach solution as you did to prepare the tub and accessories(hose, thermometer, etc.) prior to the birth.

There are a lot of questions on the medical history and not all are necessary for my services. The EHR has to blanket all kinds of care so that is why. If you don’t want to answer some that seem unimportant that is fine. If the questions are important for me to know in providing your care I will ask you about it.
